Post Fence, like much of my work, originated from a found material. I dragged 13 chipped white fence posts back to my studio from an alley two blocks away. Then, when horrific operation metro surge began, I started manipulating them. These posts used to divide space and be held together upright in a line, and in my studio they became individuals who wanted to curl, collapse, touch each other, spread out and take up space in new ways.
