BAthroom Signage, ongoing
As part of an ongoing score or series, I only exhibit artworks where there are accessible bathrooms for everyone. One way I have accomplished this is by including replaced bathroom signage as an artwork in the exhibition. At a few venues, they have permanently adopted new bathroom signage after the work came down.
In everybody's bathroom, 2016, there was a waterfall soundtrack in the bathroom. In You're Welcome, 2016, there was bars of soap on soap dishes supplied next to the pink liquid soap dispenser. In, THE BATHROOM, 2017, there was an ongoing dispute with building occupants and the signage was continually removed.
Consider adding this score to your art practice and make new bathroom signage where you exhibit artworks. Share pictures with me.
