A powder room, a hotel lobby and a phone booth walk into WAMBASH as Party Line, a series of one-night call stations by artist Emmett Ramstad. Partygoers are invited to call from one station to another and ask a series of questions of the person on the other end. What happens when you abandon the privatization of cell phones for an evening? How will you connect with the stranger who picks up your call? Like a childhood prank or a phone number on a bathroom stall, Party Line evokes the mystery, excitement and daring of calling unknown numbers.
